John Zimmer recently undertook a mammoth walk to raise funds for MNDA, raising the sum of £1,095.
As John explained, “The hike was from Arundel to Brighton via the South Downs Way. 27 miles in total which took us 9 – 10 hours to walk. My friend Poppy Tu and I did the full walk and another friend, Jill Dinsmore, met us half way near Steyning
and walked with us from there to Brighton. My dogs Frida and Diego also did the entire walk and loved it.”
John used Just Giving for dontations and his page can be viewed at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/john-zimmer1.
But guess, what?! Now he’s back hiking 100 miles again!
This time John isn’t after donations, but wanting to get people to sign the petition www.als.org/petition to get the US FDA to approve a drug that is showing evidence of slowing the progress of ALS (the form of Motor Neurone Disease that his brother suffers from).
You can follow his progress as it unfolds (and watch his video blog) on his Facebook page.
