#SpoonMe4MND

Make a Wooden Spoon of yourself. Share on Social Media.

In our recent Branch Meeting we explored the value of creativity and expression for all household members young and old, whether friends and family, of anyone living with or affected by MND.

Our chairman Maureen had asked committee members to take photos of artwork or creations that made them happy, and these were displayed at the end of the meeting. It was an incredible sight to see all the ways in which people are creative; from making to baking, sewing to painting, music and memorabilia… there really are so many ways people find joy in expressing themselves. And to see them all together in a short online gallery was uplifting.

So much so, it has also sparked off a new challenge of making self portraits using a wooden spoon(!)

We’re calling it #SpoonMe4MND and we are hoping to see it go viral…

It’s super easy. All you need to do is:

  1. Create a wooden spoon version of yourself
  2. Share it on social media, using the hashtag #SpoonMe4MND
  3. Send an SMS text MNDSPOON to 70085 to donate £2
(Texts cost £2 plus one standard rate message)

That’s it! Told you it was easy.

Remember, you really can use anything you have lying around to create your wooden masterpiece.

Please do feel free to send us your creative efforts direct and we’ll display them on our website and Social Media channels too.

This is Nicci’s masterpiece
(complete with banana skin hair!)
